Trézór Bridge®™ — Official Guide
Overview
Trezor Bridge is a lightweight communication tool that allows your Trezor hardware wallet to securely interact with web browsers and web-based applications such as Trezor Suite (Web). It acts as a trusted “bridge” between your device and the browser when native USB support is not available or fully reliable.
What Is Trezor Bridge?
Trezor Bridge is a background service installed on your computer that enables communication between:
- Your Trezor hardware wallet
- Your web browser
- Web-based crypto applications that support Trezor
It does not store private keys, wallet data, or personal information.
When Do You Need Trezor Bridge?
You need Trezor Bridge if:
- You use Trezor Suite in a web browser
- Your browser does not fully support WebUSB
- You interact with third-party web wallets or services that require it
You do NOT need Trezor Bridge if:
- You use the Trezor Suite desktop application
- Your browser supports WebUSB and the site explicitly uses it
Supported Operating Systems
Trezor Bridge is available for:
- Windows
- macOS
- Linux
Once installed, it runs silently in the background.
